SYNOPSIS
Su, an 8-year-old newcomer to the city from a country far away, discovers she's not alone in making this place her new home. Apples, potatoes, tulips, raccoons… the neobiota! With a journalist's curiosity, she uncovers the rich historical and cultural diversity around her by connecting with these non-human, familiar yet foreign neighbours. In this mixed community, differences become bridges rather than barriers. Alongside her best friends Poe, the crow, Max, the boy from upstairs, and a unique neobiota, Su is immersed in unexpected adventures in the history and culture of the world. Through empathy, they step into the roles of other characters, experience and reimagine the past from a fresh and humorous perspective. Every day, Su faithfully reports her discoveries to her grandmother back in Su‘s other home country, sharing the wonder of her expanding world.
"Hello, Neobiota!" breaks new ground as Europe's first animated children's series starring a Turkish-heritage girl, Su. Each episode introduces diverse neobiota species representing various cultures, generations, and origins from across the globe.
An accompanying line of books based on the animated series is currently in development.
